Chef and owner Wes Krimmer brings over 20 years of restaurant experience to downtown West Bend. His passion for great food combined with his experience in the culinary industry are two of the fundamental reasons why Krimmer’s is truly an exceptional restaurant in a category all its own.
In addition to a business and marketing degree, Wes is also a graduate from the culinary program at Waukesha Technical College and has a wide range of experience in his field from fast food and catering to fine-dining and hospitality. Wes began his fine dining career with the Mo’s establishment. He gained a majority of his fine-dining experience in Milwaukee having spent four years at Mason Street Grill in the Pfister Hotel and four years at the Hilton Hotel Chophouse.
When he’s not putting in endless hours at his own establishment, Wes enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelsey, and their three children, driving his treasured 1929 classic Ford Model A or attending local vintage toy shows and music entertainment .
For someone so motivated, all the hard work of being a business owner and dedicated family man may seem to come effortlessly to this local entrepreneur. Although Krimmer’s Restaurant is Wes’s first independent business venture, it is obvious he has only begun to demonstrate what is possible when you never give up on a dream.
Though born in Jacksonville, Florida, Kelsey Krimmer still considers herself a West Bend native, having lived in the city most of her life. After graduating from West Bend East and studying for 1 year at local college UW-Washington County, Kelsey moved to Milwaukee to earn her Bachelor’s at UW-Milwaukee. During college, she worked at several downtown Milwaukee restaurants—most notably, Sabor Brazilian Steakhouse where she gained the skills and knowledge of fine-dining which she has used to help develop the dining room atmosphere that Krimmer’s Restaurant is known for. From the fine points of hospitality to knowledge of great wines, Kelsey assists the wait-staff at Krimmer’s in providing a unique experience for guests.
In addition to her role at Krimmer’s, Kelsey also has a full-time career as a Buyer at a local manufacturing company and has 3 young children. During her spare time, Kelsey enjoys time spent with her family and trying new recipes in her home kitchen. She also loves fashion and live music and will read anything from classic novels to science fiction.
After four years in business, it’s clear that Krimmer’s Restaurant is a place that people return to time and again for great food, but there is another reason guests keep coming back; ambiance. Although a more subtle characteristic of a great restaurant, ambiance is what defines fine dining and at Krimmer’s, Kelsey and the staff offer guests a unique experience with carefully timed dinner courses, attention to detail and a personal touch that guests will remember.
"We have been to Krimmers on several occasions and it is always amazing! Our most recent visit, we started with the crab cakes which is our favorite appetizer there. We found out from our server they are made with king crab. Dinner was a tenderloin and shrimp for me and dry-aged bone-in new york strip with scallops for my husband. The steaks & scallops were melt in your mouth! We shared a side of lobster mac and cheese....WOW! We had a drink at the bar and then a bottle of wine with dinner. Servers at the bar and at our table were very attentive. Thanks for a great evening!"
"At the first moment you come to this restaurant the staff gives you an excellent feeling. Very friendly staff, it is a friendly restaurant to go out with buddies or with your date. Enjoyable cuisine, qualified chef, competitive pay and generous service. Highly recommended."
"Hands down the BEST restaurant in West Bend!!! Food is ALWAYS amazing. I've tried everything on the menu and everything is so delicious I can't pick a favorite!! Staff is always friendly. I PROMISE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!"
"Always very good. Small quaint place with great service and very good food. Steaks are absolutely on par in quality and preparation as Carnevor, Mos, Wards etc. Alwyas done perfectly. Sides are excellent. Never had a bad meal in the dozen or more times we've been here."
"I honestly loved their dishes and customer service, excellent area close to my home. The staff members are always very welcoming. Will come back again."
"My husband and I went to Krimmer's for my husband's birthday. We wanted something special, quiet, small, and still delicious. We were not disappointed. Krimmer's will now be our go to celebration destination. The food is amazing. It is a bit expensive but well worth it. My husband ordered the filet and I ordered the scallops and both were done to perfection. I ordered lobster mac and cheese and we shared the tempura asparagus. I want to try so many more things on the menu. We both left full and with leftovers. We mention to the waitress that it was my husband's birthday. We ordered two deserts but she brought out every dessert for us. Carly, made us feel special and appreciated. I can't recommend Krimmer's enough. Such a wonderful experience."
